Stunning Starflowers - Altenew

I am back over on the Seven Hills Crafts Blog today and I’m really loving the purple and yellow combo right now. The Stunning Starflowers Stamp Set by Altenew is the perfect way to bring both colours together.

I stamped the multi‑step flowers using the Shades of Purple Fresh Dye Ink, although the Enchanted Garden purples would look just as beautiful. One of my favourite things about Altenew’s multi‑step stamps is how clearly each layer is labelled, so you always know which one to use next. The included colour guide is fantastic too, it takes away all the guesswork and makes the layering process feel effortless.
 

If you prefer a single layer look, the Stunning Starflowers Mask Stencil is a brilliant option. Simply position the positive pieces over their coordinating images with a little temporary adhesive, then stamp another image over the top. Once you remove the stencil, it looks as though the second image is tucked perfectly behind the first.

After stamping, I used the coordinating Stunning Starflowers dies to cut out the blooms and a few leaves. I ink blended the leaves with Parrot and Grass Field inks for a fresh pop of green. For the background, I used the Pinkfresh Studio Leafy Loops coverplate die on a 4.25in x 5.5in card base, then painted a soft wash of yellow using Maple Yellow ink from the Pocketful of Sunshine collection mixed with a little water on my glass mat.

I adhered the flowers with Instant Dimension Foam Tape and tucked the leaves underneath, keeping them flat for contrast. To finish, I added the die‑cut ‘Star’ sentiment inked in Midnight Violet and stamped the ‘You’re a’ in the same shade to tie everything together. I then added some excess blooms I had stamped along with some leaves to the inside for an extra special touch.

 How cute is this Christmassy Koala?! 🐨As soon as I saw the new release from @_apocketfullofhappiness I found it hard to resist, especially with that sweet candy cane ❤️🤍

I created a background using the Waffle Flower Crafts Diagonal Line stencil (one of my favourites!), some glitter card and whipped up a Christmas tree 🌲using the A Pocketful of Happiness Lace Borders dies. I just love how it turned out!

Holiday Home by Concord & 9th featuring Santa!

I am back over on the Seven Hills Crafts blog wishing you a Happy Monday!

I was playing with the Concord & 9th Holiday Home stamps and dies and realised that the Gummiapan Santa With A Christmas Sack die pairs beautifully with them — and I was so jazzed to discover that his scale works perfectly. Doesn’t he look so cheeky placing presents under the tree?

After stamping the background stripes, I used the Pinkfresh Studio Oval Rhythm coverplate to add extra texture. It looked so pretty that I repeated the same detail on the arch front to tie the two elements together.

Twinkling Lights - Festive Friday week 41

I think twinkly, sparkly fairy lights are one of the most magical things about Christmas! 🎄✨❤️

I have had this die and stencil combo for a while and I haven’t used it as much as I’d have liked, but when I saw the Pinkfresh Studio Treasured Greetings sentiment set, I had to pull them out again as one of the sentiments is perfect!

Alex Syberia Designs Autumn Release: Cozy Tea Time | Blog Hop & Giveaway

Yesterday I shared some of the cards I created with this wonderful release, and here are a few more that I had so much fun creating.

This was so quick and easy to put together as the Magical Wisteria stamps, stencils and dies do so much of the work for you. I stamped the image in grey pigment ink which I then heat set, used the stencils to colour the beautiful flowers, with a little shading in the centres and finally die cut ready for mounting on my card.

I ink blended a card panel in lilac and pink then stencilled over the top with the fun Sparkles stencil and die cut into an arch. Once it was all mounted on the card I finished it off with one of the matching sentiments.

I just adore the Mini Frames and Fruit die set, so many possibilities and the frames will definitely be a feature in my cardmaking rotation for the foreseeable future.

I tried a new technique for this card, I heat embossed the Magical Wisteria stamp onto black card, I then used the stencils and applied white pigment ink which I heat set. I then used the stencils again to apply coloured die ink - my top tip for this is to dab on the ink rather than blend, even though the white pigment ink was heat set, it still moves around. I used the Mystic Garden Cardstock pack for the glitter paper, the whole pack pairs so well with this release.

The standalone Wisteria die is so pretty, I used the Mystic Garden Cardstock pack again for this card, using alcohol markers to achieve that deeper purple but it still keeps that lovely metallic shimmer. I also used the Sparkles stencil to emboss the cardstock - it's so fun using stencils to emboss! I wanted to achieve the look of Wisteria blowing in the breeze, so I anchored the stem to a jump ring and attached it to another jump ring hidden behind the frame - take a look at the movement over on Instagram!

Wildwood in Blue - The Greetery

Happy Monday! I am back on the Seven Hills Crafts blog with this week's design team card. Today I’m showcasing the Wildwood stencil and embossing folder by The Greetery using lots of beautiful shades of blue.

 

This card is so quick and easy to make, full of texture, and, as an added bonus, still wonderfully post‑friendly while keeping plenty of dimension. I embossed an A2 panel using the Wildwood embossing folder, then laid the stencil over the top and added shading with the Altenew Lapis Lazuli ink cubes. (I know you are supposed to stencil first but I find this way so much easier!).

 

To finish, I added a sweet sentiment from the Laid Back Basics stamp and die bundle. I heat‑embossed the sentiment in white on Concord & 9th Capri cardstock, die‑cut it, and popped it up using my favourite Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape (1/16'' x 1'' x 15m).

North Pole Greetings - Concord & 9th

Happy Friday, I am here with a bonus blog post to celebrate Festive Friday (there are only 12 weeks left until the big day!)

Today I’m using the Concord & 9th North Pole Greetings stamp and die kit to make a sweet tri‑fold card for the festive season. Check out this fun little video on Instagram that I put together to showcase it's assembly!

I die cut my houses using Concord & 9th cardstock in Pink Lemonade, Berry Kiss, Lilac, Aster, Bluebell, Capri, and Midnight. Once you’ve die cut all of the elements, they’re so easy to assemble.

For my tri‑fold card, I used some arch dies for the panels, each measuring 3½ inches wide, and mounted them on a 10½‑inch strip of cardstock scored at every 3½ inches. The fun part is deciding where to place all of the pretty decorations!

Exciting Announcment and Pinkfresh Studio Golden Poppies

Hello, I am finally back to blogging and I am so excited to share that I am now a member of the Seven Hills Crafts Design Team. I was thrilled when Tara messaged me to ask if I would be interested and I don't think I could have said yes any quicker! Today I am sharing some pretty Pinkfresh Studio florals with you.

I began with an A2 yellow card base and layered the Celestial Quilt Coverplate in white over the top, followed by the Celestial Weave Coverplate in lilac for a soft, textured background. Next, I used the Golden Poppies stencils to colour a whole bouquet of flowers and leaves. One of my favourite things about Pinkfresh stencils is how easy they are to align, the triangle guides make the process effortless.

Once everything was inked, I cut the florals using the Golden Poppies die. The slightly smaller die edges mean you get beautifully clean cuts without any white halo around your images, which I absolutely love.

To bring everything together, I added a panel using the Essentials Dotted Fancy Frames Die for a touch of white space, but any one of your favourite shaped dies would work here, then arranged the florals around it, popping a few up on foam pads for dimension. A sweet sentiment from the Celebrate in Blooms stamp and die set finishes the card perfectly.

Hello and Welcome!

I can't believe that it's been 11.5 years since I last posted here, how time flies!

I paused crafting in 2015 but picked it up again at the start of 2025, posting my creations over on Instagram - I had been locked out of my blog - but I have recently gained access again so aim to share my projects here too, along with supply lists and instructions. I can't wait to welcome you here again.
